Go literally anywhere else. I’ve had my card hacked twice in 4 months and have watched other unsuccessful attempts almost daily. It took almost a month to get the refund back on the first. This last time, they seemed to also hack my Extra account, itself, and there is no easy way to change your password or lock your account down further. You HAVE to go through concierge. I was in the chat with their customer service about someone trying to hack my Extra account when said hacker was finally successful. Not only did Extra allow that fraudulent payment to go through, they also passed the fraudulent payment through to my bank, which by extension is another fraudulent payment from Extra. My bank, attempting to protect the customer, put a stop on that payment. Extra told me that since the bank did that, I was not financially affected and had no need for a fraud ticket, despite Extra holding my credit score hostage until I gave them access to my bank account again. They’re expect you to cover your financial loss on the money that you didn’t spend until AFTER they investigate. They will not protect you, the customer, and they will tell you that you are not allowed to protect yourself. If you try, they will pass on the negative balance to your credit report. I’ve never had issues getting through to them before, but suddenly, it takes 2 days to hear back, and the best I can get is “I understand your frustration, but let me talk to you as if you have no idea how the card works on a good day, even though this extenuating circumstance is being handled poorly.” They still have not closed my account as requested, and I’m having to set aside the $240 in my checking account for the fraudulent payment that Extra passed on to me while moving the rest of my funds elsewhere because I no longer trust this company at all.

Well guess I won’t be applying. I always review & these reviews had enough red flags for me!! & it’s too bad because the concept of building credit this way is unique. But 1 of my Biggest fears, is losing the credit I worked so hard to grow. Perhaps some other will do it better.

So glad I looked up reviews like this one instead of going in blind. The whole fact it started in 2019 but she’s still in development on the appstore gave me pause to dive deeper. God bless reviews that keep it transparent and let’s us make the best decisions for ourselves.

Scam company they reported negative amounts to my credit bureau after trying to scam me for money.
